Soli rhythms are played for the initiation and circumcision rites of boys throughout Guinea and Mali. The difference with this rhythm is that it comes from an ethnic group called Manians, also referred to as the Konyanka. They live in the forest region of Guinea, in the east around Beyla, where the rythms Kuku and Siwé also originated.
