Hand Drumming Rhythms
The sub-pages contain a list of rhythms we perform or are currently learning to perform. Hopefully we’ll have recordings of each either by the group or by one of the members self-made recordings. Some of the rhythms may have written Drumming Notation and this notation is a form of the Leo Brooks format.

- Soli des Manion - An African Rhythm typically used during circumcision rituals
- Mahi - A Rhythm from Haiti
- Djansa - A Rhythm from Mali used for all sorts of festivities
- Djolé - From Guinea, a mask dance
- Kassa
- Kassagbe - A Malinke rhythm likely related to Kassa and agricultural rhythms
- Kotéba - A Bonkolo style of drumming played with a small stick or twig
- Kuku - A women’s dance from Guinea/Ivory Coast
- Illesa - A Cuban rhythm popular in secular music
- Sinte (Sinté) - A rhythm from the forest region village Boké
